Ballan certifies sectional door safety

Ballan sectional doors are at the cutting edge in terms of accident protection. This is thanks to the fact that Ballan produces all its doors in compliance with reference standards. In fact, to issue the declaration of performance as required by the Construction Products Regulation CPR 305/2011, the manufacturer must ensure that garage doors undergo initial type tests by a Notified Body in accordance with Product Standard EN 13241-1: resistance to wind load, opening safety, and operating force for power-operated doors.
Each product bears the CE mark and is accompanied by the Declaration of Performance (DoP) , and power-operated versions are also supplied with the CE Declaration of Conformity in compliance with the Machinery Directive.

Complete and unparalleled safety that frees users from the binding choice of a manual or power-operated door. Many people are unaware of the fact that retrofitting a manually operated door with an automation system requires a certification procedure, which constitutes a significant problem for the majority of doors on the market.
To get around this problem, Ballan offers doors that are "ready for operator fitting”. These doors use design solutions that ensure full compliance with European directives regarding power-operated doors, enabling the automation installer to issue the relative CE declaration of conformity.
